This EXM1500S Single Stack Home Gym has been around for several years but we see no need for a model upgrade. This well-designed and sturdy little home gym does it all.

Body Solid’s machine is built around a single 160 pound weight stack that incorporates all the exercises you need for a truly complete strength training workout.

Use the multi-grip press arm and lat bar for upper body work, and the foam rollers and leg extension for the lower body. The included ab strap lets you do crunches and the straight bar and lower pulley accommodate seated and upright rows, shrugs and curls. That’s but a small sample of what’s available — more exercises can be performed on this gym than most will ever need.

The primary criticism of this system is that assembly is somewhat of a challenge — plan on spending an entire morning or afternoon. If you need help the Body Solid customer service center is very good.

The EXM1500Ss is an excellent value for those looking for a home gym with a small footprint that covers a wide array of exercises.
