Genuine Magnetrainer ER (Extended Range) Mini Exercise Bike | Portable Magnetic Pedal Exerciser

Category: Exercise Bikes
Published on: September 27, 2008

Seatless exercise bikes have grown in popularity in recent years due to their affordability, portability and obvious space saving features. All exercise bikes allow you to workout while watching television, playing video games or reading a book. But a mini cycle — or pedal exerciser  allows you to sit in your favorite chair as well.

Many of the mini bikes we’ve seen are cheaply constructed, do not peddle smoothly or wobble while in use; we recommend avoiding those in the $20-$40 range. The Genuine Magnetrainer ER Mini Exercise Bike is a step up in price but a great alternative for those who can’t afford a full sized exercise bike. It’s relatively inexpensive but provides the cardiovascular benefits of an upright cycling workout.

A key distinguishing feature of the MagneTrainer ER is extra stability provided by the extended base width of over 15 inches. The adjustable magnetic resistance can be varied from 0 to 170W, among the widest ranges available. The adjustment knob provides further fine tuned control of pedal resistance.

While the screen display is a bit difficult to see all the way down near the pedals it provides all the essential measurements including speed, elapsed time, distance and calories burned. The bike weighs just 23 pounds and can be easily moved between rooms or even set on a table or desk for an upper body workout.

MagneTrainer is so confident that this is the best in class mini cycle that they offer a 30 day full refund policy.
