Despite the slim build the Horizon Evolve SG is surprisingly stable and durable. The 1.5 continuous horse power motor accommodates users up to 250 lbs at speeds up to 6 mph.

A necessary compromise to such a compact treadmill is the relatively limited running surface that measures just 17″ x 45″. This is not an ideal treadmill for tall, long striding runners.

The motor is quiet enough to hear music or television at normal volume levels, or you can plug an MP3 or CD player into the built in speakers.

The LCD monitor is not complicated by extra bells and whistles and there are only two standard exercise programs. This simplicity will be refreshing to most but may be disappointing to the techy types.

Other standard features include a thumb pulse heart-rate monitor, book/magazine rack and a safety key that stops the motor when removed.
