Iron Gym Doorway Chin & Pull-Up Bar (No Screws) | Pro Fit Portable Total Upper Body Workout

iron-man-workout-bar2Since the introduction of Tony Horton's P90X Extreme Home Fitness System, multifunction workout bars have seen skyrocketing sales. This product is a lower-priced alternative to the P90X Chin-Up/Pull-Up Bar commonly used with P90X.

After simple assembly the Iron Gym Total Upper Body Bar can be installed in standard doorways in just seconds. Using your body's own weight as leverage the bar mounts securely without the use of brackets, screws or fasteners.

When positioned in the doorway you can perform pull-ups and chin-ups using three grip positions (narrow, neutral, and wide) to develop arms, shoulders and back. Then, easily move the Iron Gym to the floor for deep dip push-ups, tricep dips or sit-ups and crunches using the bar as a foot anchor.

Using the body's weight as resistance will always be an alternative to more expensive exercise machines. Pull-up/chin-up workouts help with motivation as you increase strength and try to best your record number of reps.

iron-man-workout-bar3The Iron Gym is built with durable steel, supports users up to 300 pounds and is designed to fit residential doorways 24" to 32" wide with trim or molding up to 3.5" wide. Like all bars of this type there's a possibility of not fitting securely in older or non-standard doorways, but by all accounts these complaints are rare.

At about half the price of the the P90X version, and with so much convenience and versatility, you can't go wrong with the Iron Gym Total Upper Body Workout Bar.

I like the versatility of this pull up bar. I have ordered one and am jazzed to get it. I think this will be a great way to pick up some upper body strength and definition without paying for a gym membership. Thanks for the info.

    2. I got hooked on the Iron Gym doorway chin up bar awhile ago and have been amazed on the results I’m getting. Placed on my closet door, it’s in my line of morning traffic and has just become a daily routine to use.

    3. Ty says:

I purchased the Iron Gym Extreme and did not take into account that my walls were thicker then new construction. I would like to find an extended arche bar for this product and start using it. I am sure more people are in the same boat and would like to find this option.

    4. Tom says:

These doorway pullup bars work really well in houses with modern, standardized construction. But in older houses with non-standard dimensions, wide doorways, or unusual trim, they can cause problems or end up not fitting in the doorway. But in most cases, they’re just what you need to work on your pullups and get a good back and biceps workout.

    5. Reynald says:

These things are not so great because they often don’t fit unless you have a standard sized doorway. But if you can get them to work, they’ll hold your weight OK.
