Omron Step Counter HIP Pedometer| Track Walking Steps, Calories Burned and Distance Travelled
Here’s a simple but effective device priced near the entry level of the Omron spectrum of pedometers. The HJ-151 displays steps, moderate steps and aerobic steps. The latter is defined as more than 60 steps per minute after 10 minutes of continuous walking. It also measures distance traveled and calories burned.
A 7 day history feature tracks a full week of exercise and the monitor resets at midnight automatically, ready to go each morning. It comes with PC software that keeps track of daily, weekly, monthly and yearly progress.
Unlike more advanced pedometers, the HJ-151 must be positioned correctly to provide accurate readouts. While attached to your belt or top of your waistband the pedometer should be horizontal to the ground.
The unit is powered by a replaceable lithium battery that will last approximately one year when used for walking 10,000 steps a day.
The Omron’s HJ-151 Pedometer is not bulky, is easy to setup and use and great for those who need a motivational tool to encourage physical activity.
